The Belle Isle Botanical Society has had an active Docent Program since 1988. Board member, Ed Krappmann is the Docent Chair and brings over thirty years of volunteer service to the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory. He and his group of trained docents are available to guide you through Detroit's only Plant Museum. Tours include information about the conservatory itself and the various plant material within it's five houses: Palm Dome, Tropical House, Cactus House, Fernery and Show House which has seasonal flower displays.
